Living and working in Whitehall, Michigan, Chester pursues music in the tradition of John Cage, David Tudor, Gordon Mumma and other mid-20th century experimental artists. He makes or modifies many of his own electronic and acoustic instruments. He is a founding member of the experimental duo, coit, along with Ernesto Gomez of Milledgeville, GA.
